QA/QC Associate

PNP Pharmaceuticals is currently seeking for a self-motivated QA/QC Associate to join our Quality team.

Hours:

  • 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily in-process inspection activities related to mainly food products with the QA Inspectors as instructed by the Director of Quality & Compliance
  • Work with purchasing and production departments to ensure proper scheduling and on time shipping
  • Communicate with clients on all quality-related issues including but not limited to non-conformances, change controls, and deviations
  • Release of raw materials, packaging materials, bulk products for packaging, and finished goods for shipping of food products in a timely manner
  • Establish and record specifications for current raw materials and finished products in compliance with customers and regulatory requirements
  • Review and provide approval of issued Manufacturing Batch Records (MBRs) and Packaging Batch Records (PBRs) for Food Products
  • Review and reconciliate of completed Manufacturing Batch Records and Packaging Batch Records of Food Products in a timely manner
  • Ensure the timely sampling and transmittal of samples for testing by test laboratories and for client retention
  • Ensure that all change controls initiated by clients and/or internally are properly implemented and updated
  • Prepare CAPA reports, Deviation reports, OOS reports, Complaint investigation reports and Standard Operating Procedures as required
  • Perform various tests on raw materials and bulk products as needed including but not limited to Gluten test
  • Offer suggestions for process improvement when identified
  • Other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or a degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in same or similar industry
  • Work experience in a role that involves excellent knowledge and understanding of above duties
  • Trained in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for pharmaceuticals, Natural Health Products & Food and HACCP
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Good documentation skills
  • Great communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Ability to provide direction to QA Inspectors
  • Good computer skills
  • Proficient in MS Office required
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diversity
  • Critical thinking and judgement skills, with the ability to make sound decisions
  • Ability to work well in team setting and individually
