Maintenance Mechanic II

Currently, we are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join our Maintenance team.


  • 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set-up, dismantle and troubleshoot pharmaceutical production machines such as encapsulation, tableting, pouching, packaging line, and blistering machines using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect machine parts and tooling in order to maintain quality control standards.
  • Inspect and examine machinery to detect and troubleshoot power, transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and programmable logic controls (PLCs and Inverters).
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine preventative maintenance work on equipment.
  • Communicate actions taken and solutions found to operators and management.
  • Immediately report equipment malfunctions and quality deficiencies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the equipment and with the updating of related SOPs.
  • Offer suggestions for process improvement when identified.
  • Participate in new product development and training of new employees.
  • May be required to assist with and perform tasks associated with the preventative maintenance programme.
  • Other related duties as specified by supervisor.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Mechanical Certification preferred.
  • Must have 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Trained in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Have practical experience in their responsibility area.
  • Have read all relevant SOPs.
  • Complete and pass all required training courses.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness of assigned area.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment operation.
  • Proven solid mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Good math skills.
  • Able to use tools proficiently.
  • Good logic and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 25 kg.
